Rutgers rising junior Dilly Duka (Montville, N.J.) who played with the Revolution in the club’s Super Y League program received a call to join the US U-20 National Team for the week of Jan. 18-24. Duka will travel with the squad to Trinidad & Tobago where they will train extensively, leading up to a match-up between the teams on Saturday, Jan. 24.
A second team All-BIG EAST selection, Duka led the Scarlet Knights during the 2008 season with eight goals, while also adding one assist on the year. He put together a number of outstanding performances as he recorded a pair of goals in four separate games, including a come-from-behind upset victory over then-No. 6 UC Santa Barbara.
He also displayed his prolific scoring talents in a BIG EAST win over a tough Syracuse team. Duka scored two goals and assisted on the game-winner to give RU its road victory against the Orange. In another of his two-goal games, Duka found the back of the net twice in a two-minute span to lead Rutgers to a 2-1 defeat of in-state and conference rival Seton Hall.
