The 22nd Annual Parsippany Pride Youth Invitational Soccer Tournament will be held on Friday, October 8th - Sunday, October 10th, 2010 (only local teams play Friday night). Last year, "The Pride" had over 500 teams from 6 states competing at all levels. With several flights in each age group, you will play competitive teams who you don't play in normal league play.
The Parsippany Pride Invitational tournament on-line application is now available. Application Deadline is September 1st, 2010. The only way to apply for the Pride is through the on-line application. The tournament registration cost is $475 for U8-U10 and $525 for U11-U14. U8-U10 play 8 v 8 and play 4 matches (2 Saturday and 2 Sunday). U11-U14 play 11 v 11 and play 3 matches (2 Saturday and 1 Sunday morning) and if they qualify for the championship of their flight that match is played Sunday afternoon.
We will post accepted teams on this website, along with game schedules, field directions, game scores.

WHEN FILLING OUT THE APPLICATION PLEASE REMEMBER THAT IN THE FALL YOU WILL BE IN AN OLDER AGE GROUP THAN IN THE SPRING 2010.
DUE TO THE SIZE OF THE TOURNAMENT THERE MIGHT BE A 4 HOUR INTERVAL BETWEEN YOUR GAMES. WE TRY OUR BEST TO PREVENT THIS BUT IT MIGHT HAPPEN DURING THE SCHEDULING PROCESS.
IF YOUR CLUB IS BRINGING IN ALL OF THEIR TEAMS, PLEASE LET US KNOW SO THAT WE CAN TRY TO HAVE ALL OF YOUR TEAMS IN THE TOURNAMENT. Please have the club treasurer contact pscpride@yahoo.com to discuss submitting 1 club check as payment for the club.
PARSIPPANY INTRAMURAL REFEREES
MANDATORY MEETING
Intramural Referees,
There will be a mandatory referee meeting this Friday, September 10th in the Bleachers at Smith Field. Referee kits will be sold and any other items needed. I will also have refills for the referee wallets. We will be seperateing referees in there Division. To go over Rules of the Game. Please remember all checks are made out to Parsippany Soccer Club.

This assessment is used to determine current functional capacity (endurance) and can be repeated to assess progress of training. Results of this test enable us to customize an ongoing heart rate based conditioning program that will allow you to improve your endurance. (See information link for more details)
NUTRITION
Body Fat Assessment FEE $50.00
This assessment evaluates the percentage of body weight that is fat and fat free tissue. With this information we can determine ideal body fat percentage and body weight and create an individualized intervention strategy to achieve these goals.

Updated Carding Procedures for NJ Youth Soccer Travel Teams
As soon as all your information has been put into the Got Soccer system call your Director to arrange for printing of the cards. Player AS WELL AS Coaches information needs to be inputed.
Given the changes involved in the carding process all rosters will be verified by the Travel Committee and cards will be printed at the Parsippany SC offices on Baldwin Rd. This will be a first year procedure so that we save time and hopefully get the process done right the first time. Cards are not to be requested or done on your own.
In addition to NJ Youth Soccer cards, all Full Sided teams should be carding US Club Soccer if you have not already done so.

Parsippany U16G Premier/Academy Tryouts
Fall 2010 - UPDATED 8/9/2010
The Parsippany Soccer Club will be holding tryouts for its premier/academy U16G team on Sunday August 15th. Tryouts are from 7:00-8:30 and will be held at Veterans Park in Parsippany (see www.parsippanysoccerclub.org for directions). The team will be trained by Pat Naughter who was recently hired as the Montclair State University Women’s Head Coach.
The team will consist of highly motivated and skilled players looking to take their game to the next level.
The annual curriculum will start in September and runs through July. Anyone making the roster will participate in the following:
- Train once a week until the High School season is complete, then twice a week
- Attend 2-3 late fall college showcase tournaments
- Train twice a week indoors
- Participate in advanced ball skills training and speed & agility training
- Train twice a week in the spring
- Attend 3-4 showcase tournaments through out the spring and summer
- Compete in the Maps division of JAGS
- Compete in the Super-Y league

Parsippany SC teams participated in several charitable events this Spring season helping children in Haiti and Guatemala.

Bottom Picture Below: U-18G Liberty lending a hand at a Fundraiser for Haiti entitled Our Community Cares for Haiti on Saturday March 27th which was held at Trinity Lutheran Church. The girls helped the youngsters in attendance put together Promise Packs filled with school supplies to be sent to Haiti and sold a baked goods and along with helping the children on the moon walk. Picture below are the girls of PSC Liberty along with Pastor Ed Obermueller of Trinity Lutheran Church and his wife Erin.

Parsippany SC will be scheduling tryouts for the 2010 SYL season throughout the Fall and Winter. For information prior to tryout dates being posted, please contact Al Zalewski at atzalewski@yahoo.com.
Our 2009 season was very successful with 6 of 10 teams qualifying for Nationals led by both the U20 Men and Women followed by the U13G, U14G, U17G and U16B qualifying for Nationals in Tampa in November.
In 2010 the club will be fielding teams in the following
age groups: U13B, U13G, U14B, U14G, U15B, U15G, U16B, U16G, U17B, U20W, and U20M.
